Responsible Tourism with independent tour leader Ali Warner
Award-winning responsible tourism across India

I lead Ali Warner Travel. I am deeply interested in how culture varies from region to region of the Indian compass, and how these regional variations find expression through architecture, food and textiles.

My thirty years of experience in the subcontinent, (work & research), a family history connecting me to India, and a passion for sensitive, thoughtful travel are what drive my trips.

Since 2017, I have been curating itineraries that share my interests and give you an insider’s access to the India I know and love.
All the trips are supported by my professional photography skills, and a wonderful back office in Delhi who manage logistics.

Never one to sit still, I have a PhD on the environmental impacts of tourism in India and works extensively with local guides, educators and not-for-profits to create award-winning tours that rest on the foundation of responsible tourism.

Research and development
As part of my responsible tourism ethos I make it a priority to use local guides and family-run boutique hotels where possible. My tours develop with help from my guides, hoteliers, local NGOs and educators on th ground. I think it vital that my guests have confidence in my understanding of sensitive tourism in the context of India. All my tours are small,  (no more than 5-8), bespoke, and  built on the ethos of responsible tourism.

I have recently been awarded a presitigious award by the IC Responsible Tourism India Foundation as a Champion of Local Diversity 2024, of which I am very proud.

Thank you for allowing me to develop increasingly sensitive tourism and I look forward to building a relationship with you and your fellow travelling companions.
